Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Technis ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Platform Description

The Platform is a self-hosted infrastructure service operated on an invite-only basis for friends and family members. Services include but are not limited to media streaming, cloud storage, authentication, and various productivity tools.

3. Account Access and Eligibility

3.1 Invitation Requirement

Access to the Platform is by invitation only. The Platform operator reserves the sole discretion to grant, deny, or revoke access at any time without prior notice or explanation.

3.2 Account Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. Users must notify the Platform operator immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

3.3 Account Transfer

User accounts are non-transferable and may not be shared, sold, or otherwise provided to third parties.

4. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Use the Platform only for lawful purposes
• Respect the Acceptable Use Policy
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to Platform systems or other user accounts
• Not interfere with or disrupt platform services or infrastructure
• Not use the Platform to distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code

5. Content and Data

5.1 User Content

Users retain all rights to content they upload, create, or store on the Platform ("User Content"). By using the Platform, users grant the Platform operator a limited license to store, backup, and transmit User Content solely for the purpose of providing platform services.

5.2 Content Restrictions

Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights to upload and store User Content. Users must not upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights, violates privacy, or is otherwise unlawful.

5.3 Storage Limits

While the Platform strives to provide generous storage capacity, the Platform operator reserves the right to implement reasonable storage quotas or limits as necessary for operational sustainability.

6. Service Availability

6.1 Best Effort Basis

The Platform is provided on a best-effort basis. While efforts are made to maintain high availability and reliability, the Platform operator does not guarantee uninterrupted service or complete absence of errors.

6.2 Maintenance

The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues. The Platform operator will make reasonable efforts to minimize downtime and provide advance notice when possible.

6.3 Service Modifications

The Platform operator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time. Reasonable notice will be provided for material changes affecting user experience.

7. Fees and Payment

The Platform is currently provided free of charge to invited users. The Platform operator reserves the right to implement fees or contribution requirements in the future with advance notice to users.

8. Termination

8.1 Voluntary Termination

Users may terminate their account at any time by contacting the Platform operator. Upon termination, User Content will be deleted according to the data retention policy.

8.2 Involuntary Termination

The Platform operator may suspend or terminate user access immediately for violations of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or for any reason deemed necessary to protect the Platform or other users.

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Platform operator does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF THE PLATFORM.

11. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Platform operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from their use of the Platform, User Content, or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

The Platform operator reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via email or Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
